Carving His Legacy: D’Angelo Russell Hits 10,000 Points, Making Lakers History Against Nets


The Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to compete against one another at the Barclays Center in New York City on Sunday evening.

D’Angelo Russell made history for the Los Angeles Lakers by surpassing Kyle Kuzma (510) to take seventh place on the team’s all-time list of three-pointers made. This occurred during the game.

After passing Kuzma, Russell will go on to the next player to pass, and that will be Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (522 units).

As of the evening, Russell had a total of 68 games under his belt, during which he had averaged 18.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. Additionally, he had shot 45.9% from the field and 42.0% from beyond the arc.

In addition, he made NBA history by becoming the 397th player in the league’s history to achieve 10,000 points in his career during the game.

The Lakers have a record of 41-33 after playing 74 games, which places them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

In their most recent ten games, they have amassed a record of 7-3, with their most recent defeat coming at the hands of the Indiana Pacers by a score of 109-90.

The Los Angeles Lakers will play their next game on Tuesday evening, when they travel to Toronto, Canada, to take on the Toronto Raptors. This will come after their clash with the Brooklyn Nets.

Russell, who was selected second overall in the 2015 NBA Draft after graduating from Ohio State, is currently in his second season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

A total of nine seasons have passed during which he has played for the Los Angeles Lakers, the Brooklyn Nets, the Golden State Warriors, and the Minnesota Timberwolves, among other teams.
